Insider Shopping Secret: Cracking Online Discount Codes!

1_TaxCodeSale_04_14_08.jpgOne of the many insider secrets I’ve been meaning to divulge is how to go about cracking those mysterious e-boutique promotional codes. You know, that little blank discount box that appears on just about every online retailer’s checkout page?

I don’t know about you, but it kills me to pay full price for any designer clothes when I know that there’s a discount code lurking around somewhere in cyber space.

Well, there is a quick n’ easy way of tracking down those codes! Just Google the name of the store you’re inquiring about along with the words “promo” or “discount code”. For example, when I type the words “shopbop promo,” dozens of websites such as savings.com and edealinfo.com informed me of shopbop’s current tax-break sale, which means I can now enjoy savings from $25 to $150 on new designer clothing and accessory items!

To take advantage of this promotion, all I need to do is enter the promo code “taxbreak08” upon checkout until Thursday, April 17th. Try it… it works!

Other sites that might help you track down discount codes include:

Salegrab.com: the site scours the web for the hottest sales so you don’t have to.

NearbyNow.com: a new way for shopper’s to find products, brands, or sales sold at your local mall, and even pick up the item the same day from the Internet or phone before venturing outside. Once you register, you can even get coupons sent straight to your cell, so you can walk right into a store and take advantage of the special deal. How cool is that!

CurrentCodes.com: lists coupon codes for hundreds of well-known online stores such as Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Victoria’s Secret, Ann Taylor and Armani Exchange, to name a few.

Just keep in mind that online discount codes constantly change, so you have to keep scouring the web to get the best deal.

Yes, paying full price for designer clothing (or anything) is painful, especially if you suspect that there is a discount available! Once you get the hang of using online coupon codes, make a favorites shopping folder in your browser and include URLs to the comparison and coupon sites that have worked well for you. We hope you will include our coupon web site: http://www.couponheaven.com/

BTW - love the 'Steals and Deals' logo!

I really enjoy currentcodes.com, as unlike most of those, they just present coupons that I want when I'm about to buy something, instead of hassling me with ads.

Other sites I like:

naughtycodes.com (similar to currentcodes)
dealhunting.com (they have coupons, but they're more useful when gift shopping, as they're staffed by women and when its time to wife shop, their suggestions are great).
bestdealsmagazines.com (good site for magazine gift subscriptions or magazine renewals or purchases for yourself) plus be sure to check one of the above coupon sites for a coupon for them.

I love using coupon codes and I always use on whe I buy online. If you look hard enough you will find one. Victoria secret will even let you use more than one if you are willing to try a few different codes. I just ordered from victoria secret and got 15 dollars off one hundred plus free 2 day shipping. There is nothing better than a deal but you have to take the time to find them.
