A great chemical peel alternative!

glycolic.jpgThis may just fall under the umbrella of breaking beauty news!!!

If you get a chance, take a look at this month's Allure magazine: You’ll find a skincare piece on the skin secrets of dermatologists and skincare experts of the like and they discuss the power of the chemical peel – which has turned out to be a saving grace for many people prone to serious skin problems.

The active ingredient in most chemical peels is Glycolic acid,  but only licensed aestheticians and dermatologists can administer such high levels of it; that's why they get away with charging upwards of over $200 per treatment!

There just may be an answer for us trying to save our pennies (and be beautiful), it seems as of today, you can purchase over-the-counter a bottle of Glycolic acid pads that have the full 10% (highest) level for $95 and give yourself the same treatment at home many times throughout the year, thus ultimately saving a fortune.

The product was launched by Dr. Craig Austin, a top NYC dermatologist and creator of AB Skincare www.abskincare.com, it's called AB 10% - the strongest pure and uncompounded glycolic available to the public.
I'm giving it a try...I'll see how it stands up against my pro peels!
